Congratulations on 20 editions (plus the inaugural edition 0, and counting from 0 is apropos to your subject matter), and thanks (I think) for the pointer to the PSR. I was very peripherally involved in packet in those days because I had experience in commercial X.25 but my memories are vague of the developments in amateur radio. Most of the involvement was through my friend Dave Toth VE3GYQ (SK) who seemed to be involved in everything. He was the one who got me into programming a repeater controller for a local repeater club.

Just because I'm thinking about it... I started flying lessons in 1983, Dave already had his multi-IFR rating and later owned some airplanes. I came back from a canoe trip and talked to him about viewing the stars through binoculars in the dark skies, his reply was "you'd probably like to see my telescope", a Meade with several eyepieces each costing more than my Nikon binoculars. He was an avid celestial photographer, using esoteric development techniques to increase the push the speed of the film he was using. In short, he was prolific, much more than I ever was or will be.

PSR is bookmarked.
